Athletic Bilbao forward Inaki Williams has announced his retirement from the Ghana national team in a social media post.
"I leave happy and proud, with a clear conscience, knowing I gave my all whenever I wore the national team jersey.
Ghana allowed me to return home, to be closer to my roots, and to feel immense pride in representing my country.
Thank you to everyone for all of this. I will continue to support my national team," wrote Inaki Williams.
He had been representing Ghana since 2022. In 2016, Inaki Williams played in a single friendly match for the Spanish national team. Later, he decided to represent his parents' country.
