Real Sociedad head coach: Zakharyan needs to be patient and wait for his chance

Real Sociedad head coach Pellegrino Matarazzo has spoken about the performance of the team's Russian midfielder Arsen Zakharyan.

"Zakharyan had a good pre-season. I have considered bringing him on as a substitute several times. Unfortunately for him, the decisions in recent matches did not go his way. He needs to be patient and wait for his opportunity. I am confident that he will show his best form when the chance arises," AS quotes Matarazzo as saying.

In the current season 23-year-old Zakharyan has made one appearance, coming on as a substitute in the 87th minute against Betis. He spent three minutes on the pitch. Zakharyan's contract with the Spanish club runs until June 2029.
