For the first time since 2018, Russian tennis player Karen Khachanov will compete in a Grand Slam tournament (the US Open) without a seeding.
Players ranked in the top 32 of the men's rankings are eligible for seeding.
Khachanov holds the 49th spot in the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) rankings. The last time he played in a Grand Slam tournament without a seeding was at Wimbledon in 2018.
The main draw of the 2026 US Open begins on August 30.
