The Pennsylvania State Athletic Commission (PSAC) has suspended UFC welterweight champion Islam Makhachev from competition for 30 days due to a severe rib contusion, MMA Junkie reports.
The Russian fighter sustained the injury during his bout against Irishman Ian Garry at UFC 330 in Philadelphia (USA). Makhachev successfully defended his title, winning by unanimous decision.
Makhachev holds a record of 29 wins and one loss in MMA. He is ranked number one in the UFC pound-for-pound rankings.
