In the first leg of the UEFA Europa League qualifying play-offs, the Armenian champions Ararat-Armenia played an away match against the Romanian side Universitatea Craiova.
The match ended in a 1–1 draw.
In the 20th minute, Alexandros Malis, the 29-year-old Greek defender of the Yerevan team, opened the scoring (video).
In the 33rd minute, 33-year-old Romanian defender Nicușor Bancu equalized (video).
The return leg will take place in Yerevan on August 27.
