Sebastien Pocognoli confirmed as new Scotland boss

Sebastien Pocognoli has been appointed head coach of the Scotland national team, the Scottish Football Association (SFA) has announced.

The 39-year-old Belgian coach has signed a two-year contract. Pocognoli replaces Steve Clarke, who left the role following the 2026 World Cup.

In the upcoming Nations League season, Scotland will compete in Group B1 alongside Switzerland, Slovenia, and North Macedonia.

Pocognoli’s most recent role was at Monaco. Previously, he coached Union, winning the Belgian league title and being named the country's Coach of the Year for the 2024/2025 season.
