RPL and Krasnodar react to Spertsyan’s SPL debut

The Russian Premier League and Krasnodar have reacted to Al Ahli newcomer Eduard Spertsyan’s first goal in the Saudi Pro League (SPL).

In the opening round, Al Ahli defeated Al Diriyah 1–0 away from home.

“It took Eduard Spertsyan just 25 minutes to score his first goal for Al Ahli in an official match. Keep it up, Edo,” the Russian Premier League’s Telegram channel wrote.

Spertsyan is a product of the Krasnodar academy; he had been playing for the club's first team since 2021, recording 58 goals and 50 assists in 185 matches.

Krasnodar also reacted to the goal scored by the Armenian national team captain.

"Edo, you're amazing! Your first match for Al-Ahli, and immediately a debut goal and a victory in the opening round of the Saudi league. Our leader," reads a post on Krasnodar's Telegram channel.

Spertsyan moved from Krasnodar to Al-Ahli this summer, signing a four-year contract.
