The Armenian national Greco-Roman team took second place in the team competition, leaving only Russia ahead, at the U20 European Wrestling Championships 2026 held in the capital of North Macedonia, Skopje, the press service of the Wrestling Federation of Armenia reported.
The Armenian team won 1 gold, 2 silver, and 1 bronze medal.
Samvel Terteryan (77 kg) won gold, Edgar Petrosyan (55 kg) and Aleks Margaryan (63 kg) became silver medalists, and Iurik Petrosian (87 kg) won bronze.
And the Armenian national freestyle wrestling team took third place, winning 2 silver and 4 bronze medals.
Aren Hayrapetyan (65 kg) and Razmik Yepremyan (86 kg) won silver, while Sasha Petrosyan (57 kg), Narek Nikoghosyan (79 kg), Gagik Ghazaryan (61 kg), and Henrik Haykyan (125 kg) won bronze.
