Portugal national team and Al-Nassr star forward Cristiano Ronaldo, 41, has announced that the 2026 FIFA World Cup will be the final World Cup of his professional football career.
“Yes, this World Cup will be the last of my career. I just want to enjoy every moment. In the end, what remains are the people who appreciate our game and the special moments we can give them. Those wonderful memories will last forever,” Ronaldo said, AS reports.
Portugal on Monday will face reigning European champions Spain in the Round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup. Kickoff is scheduled for 11pm Armenia time.
