Arman Tsarukyan (Armenia), the No. 2-ranked title contender in the lightweight division of Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in mixed martial arts (MMA), is ready to change weight class and fight the UFC featherweight champion Macedonian, Alexander Volkanovski (Australia).
“I'll fight roughly around June... It's even possible that I drop down to 66 kg [i.e. featherweight] to fight the title. I'd prefer to stay in my weight class at 70 kg [i.e. lightweight]. But if they offer me a title fight [with Volkanovski] at 66, then why not,” Tsarukyan said, Home of Fight reports.
Tsarukyan, 29, has a record of 23-3 in MMA.
