In the Round of 16, the Italian tennis star beat world No. 35 Joao Fonseca (Brazil) 7:6 (8:6), 7:6 (7:4). The match lasted 2 hours and 1 minute.
Sinner will face world No. 27 Learner Tien (USA) in the quarterfinals.
The prize fund of the Indian Wells Masters is $9.4 million.
