Armenia’s Arman Tsarukyan to fight in grappling match in Rio

Arman Tsarukyan (Armenia), the No.2-ranked title contender in the lightweight division of Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in mixed martial arts (MMA), will fight in a grappling match in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Wednesday at the Hype Brazil tournament.

His opponent will be Dagestan’s Muhammad Mokaev, representing the UK.


Tsarukyan last fought in a grappling match on December 30, 2025 in Yerevan.


At the Hype Fighting tournament, Arman Tsarukyan fought against Shara "Bullet" Magomedov (Russia), and the judges recorded a draw in the 6-minute fight.
