Carlos Alcaraz has advanced to the third round of the Australian Open.
In the second round of this competition, the world No. 1 Spanish tennis star defeated world No. 102 Yannick Hanfmann (Germany) 7:6 (7:4), 6:3, 6:2. The match lasted 2 hours and 44 minutes.
Alcaraz's opponent in the third round will be the winner of the match between Michael Zheng (USA) and Corentin Moutet (France) in the second round.
The prize fund of the Australian Open is $74.9 million.
