PSG win Intercontinental Cup

PSG have won the FIFA Intercontinental Cup.

In the final held in the Qatari capital Doha, the French Ligue 1 champions, cup winners, Super Cup winners, and UEFA Champions League titleholder defeated the Copa Libertadores and Brazilian champions Flamengo in a penalty shootout.

The Parisian club’s Georgian forward Khvicha Kvaratskhelia opened the scoring in the 38th minute.

Flamengo’s Italian midfielder Jorginho netted the equalizer from the penalty spot in the 62nd minute.
No goals were scored in extra time.

And PSG won 2-1 in the subsequent penalty shootout.

The Parisian club’s Russian goalkeeper Matvey Safonov saved four shots on goal.
