Armenia has won the first medal in the history of the Karate world championships, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Armenia informs on Facebook.
Armenia’s Suren Harutyunyan, 21, won the bronze medal in the 75kg event, with a 2-0 win against Thomas Scott (USA), at the 27th Karate World Championships taking place in Cairo, the capital of Egypt.
