French striker Marcus Thuram netted a brace, Italian defender Alessandro Bastoni, Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez, and French striker Ange-Yoan Bonny also scored.
Former Armenian national team captain, midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan was in the starting lineup for Inter and was subbed in the 79th minute.
Reigning champions Napoli, as well as Juventus, Roma, Como, and Cremonese also won in the first round.
