Yerevan Noah's manager: It was a very difficult, competitive game

Sandro Perkovic, the Croatian head coach of reigning Armenian Premier League champions and Cup winners Noah of Yerevan, commented on their 1-1 draw against Lincoln Red Imps (Gibraltar) in the first leg of the third qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League.

It was a very difficult, competitive game, and Noah expected exactly this. Artificial turf, humidity, weather conditions—because of all this, it was not easy to play, but Noah started the match well, scored a goal in the beginning, but it was not registered, then Noah scored again. The team completely controlled the game in the first 15 to 20 minutes, said Perkovic. After that, Perkovic continued, he had the impression that Noah were satisfied with the result. And the team started to send the ball back to the goalkeeper often, but made a mistake, and got a penalty.

In the second half, it was unbalanced football, without any structure. But such games happen on artificial turf, added Perkovic.

Everything will be decided at home, in Yerevan, said Perkovic. He called on all Armenian fans to come to the stadium, as they need their “12th player,” and expressed a hope that the fans will come to the stadium.

The second leg in Yerevan will be played on August 14.
