Sandro Perkovic, the Croatian head coach of Armenian Premier League football champions and cup winners Noah, gave an interview to the prestigious Croatian website index.hr, and talked about his moving to Armenia, its capital Yerevan, and Noah.
“When I did a little research, Yerevan impressed me. It is beautiful, Armenians are wonderful people. I was welcomed very warmly, and I don’t feel like a stranger anymore. From a working perspective, the [football] infrastructure is at a great level. We have excellent working conditions, and that was the primary reason for taking on this position,” Perkovic said.
The Croatian football specialist spoke also about Noah’s performances in the UEFA Champions League, and noted that he was very pleased with the first round of qualifying, as it was very important for the club.
“It wasn’t easy, the pressure was quite high. I believe we showed that we are a strong team and definitely deserved to get through that stage,” he said. In conclusion, Sandro Perkovic, addressed the question of what surprised him in Armenia. He noted that there were only pleasant surprises and everyone was very kind to him.
