The Women’s Singles competition at the Citi Open tennis tournament in Washington ended with the victory of world No. 36 Leylah Fernandez. In the final, the Canadian tennis player defeated world No.48 Anna Kalinskaya (Russia) 6:1, 6:2.
The match lasted 1 hour and 9 minutes. Fernandez won the fourth title in her professional tennis career. As a result, she will return to 24th place in the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) ranking, and Kalinskaya will become world No.31.
