World No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz has advanced to the third round of the men’s singles competition at the Wimbledon tournament.
In the second round, the Spanish tennis star defeated world No. 733 Oliver Tarvet (UK) 6-1, 6-4, 6-4. The match lasted 2 hours and 17 minutes.
In the third round, Alcaraz will face the winner of the match between world No. 28 Felix Auger-Aliassime (Canada) and world No. 125 Jan-Lennard Struff (Germany) in the second round.
The prize fund of the Wimbledon is £53.5 million.
