John van 't Schip: Much more important to see that Armenia national football team made progress compared to previous game

It is much more important to see that the team made progress compared to the previous game. This was stated by the manager of the Armenian national football team, Dutch coach John van 't Schip at the post-match press conference.

Armenia played a 2-2 draw with Montenegro in their away friendly match.

The Armenian team was able to improve its game in some aspects. In particular, the wingers played a big role. Armenia opened the score very quickly, but then it conceded a goal, and the game continued in a fluctuating manner. It was an even game. Armenia had more chances. The result is important, but it is much more important to see that the team made progress compared to the previous game, John van 't Schip said.

Daniel Aghbalyan made his debut in the Armenian national team. He played in two positions, and he did both well. Hopefully, in the future he will grow and become an important player for the Armenian national team, John van 't Schip added.

Defense is a very important position, and everyone needs to take a step forward to be able to play in the defensive position, John van 't Schip stated.

Armenia still have three months until the first official match. At this moment it’s impossible to decide who will be included in the next training camp. The players also need to show themselves in their clubs so that it becomes clear, said John van 't Schip.

In their previous friendly match, Armenia had lost 2-5 to Kosovo.
