Tottenham Hotspur defender and captain Cristian Romero has been named UEFA Europa League Player of the Season, the tournament's press service reports.
The 27-year-old Argentine international provided 1 assist in 7 appearances for Tottenham in the Europa League season that just ended.
The London club had beaten Manchester United 1-0 in the final. Romero's current contract with Tottenham runs until June 2027. Transfermarkt estimates his transfer value at 55 million euros.
