Two-time Olympic and world champion, pole vault world record holder Armand Duplantis (Sweden) was named the 2024 Sportsman of the Year at the Laureus World Sports Awards 2025, held in the Spanish capital, Madrid.
Seven-time Olympic champion, 23-time world champion gymnast Simone Biles (USA) was named the 2024 Sportswoman of the Year.
And reigning Spanish La Liga football champions Real Madrid were named the 2024 Team of the Year.
