Joao Fonseca, ranked 145th in the world, won the title of the Next Gen ATP Finals, the Association of Tennis Professionals’ (ATP) final junior competition of the year.
In the final held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, the Brazilian tennis player won in four sets—2:4, 4:3 (10:8), 4:0, 4:2—against world's 122nd ranked Learner Tien (USA). The match lasted 54 minutes.
The U20 tennis players with the highest ATP ranking compete in the Next Gen ATP Finals.
The prize fund of this competition was $2,050,000.
