Spanish midfielder Dani Olmo scored a brace for Barca. Brazilian forward Raphinha also netted a goal for the hosts.
Barcelona lead the current La Liga standings, with 33 points, and are 9 points ahead of second-place Real Madrid, which, however, have played one match less. Espanyol are seventeenth, with 10 points.
