Barcelona become first club to score 6,500 goals in La Liga

Polish star forward Robert Lewandowski has netted Barcelona's 6,500th goal in the Spanish La Liga, the club's website reports.

Thanks to Lewandowski's goal, Barca had beaten Getafe 1-0 in the seventh round.

Barcelona have become the first club to score 6,500 goals in La Liga, having played 3,035 La Liga matches and conceding 3,362 goals.

Their closest pursuers are Real Madrid, who have scored 6,499 goals so far.

After seven rounds in the new La Liga season, Barca lead the standings, with 21 points.
