Cristiano Ronaldo, the 39-year-old star forward of Portugal and Al-Nassr, has confirmed that the current UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany is the last European Championship in his professional footballing career.
"This will be my last Euro, of course. But I’m not moved by this. I’m moved by enthusiasm. (…). I’ll always give my best for this [Portugal] shirt,(…). And I’ll do this my whole life. You have to take responsibility.
“We have a tough game now against France, who are one of the favorites to win. But we’re going to war, the team is doing well," Ronaldo said, Metro reports.
In the Round of 16, Portugal defeated Slovenia on penalties.
The Portugal vs. France quarterfinal clash will take place Friday and will start at 11pm Armenia time.
