The regular and extra time of this match in Frankfurt ended in a goalless draw, and the game went to penalties.
Portugal and Porto goalkeeper Diogo Costa made three saves.
Portugal's goals were scored by Cristiano Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes, and Bernardo Silva.
In the Euro 2024quarterfinals, Portugal will face reigning FIFA World Cup silver medalists France, who had defeated Belgium 1-0 in the Round of 16.
