Euro 2024: Scotland, Switzerland play 1-1 draw

Scotland and Switzerland, which are in Group A, met in the second round of the UEFA Euro 2024 group stage.
The match in Cologne, Germany ended in a 1-1 tie.

In the 13th minute, Switzerland and Newcastle defender Fabian Schar sent the ball into his own net after a powerful shot by Scotland and Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay. The goal was awarded to McTominay. And in the 26th minute, Switzerland and Chicago Fire midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri restored the tie.

Switzerland are currently second in Group A, with 4 points, and Scotland have 1 point and are third. The current leaders of this group are the host nation, Germany, who defeated Hungary 2-0 in the second round and secured a spot, with 6 points, to the Round of 16.

In the first round, Scotland had lost 1-5 to Germany, and Switzerland had beaten Hungary 3-1.
