Portugal national squad veterans Pepe and Cristiano Ronaldo have set European championships’ records by playing in the UEFA Euro 2024 group-stage first-round match against the Czech Republic.
Ronaldo, 39, became the first to play in six European championships.
And Pepe, 41, became the oldest footballer to play in European championships.
Portugal beat the Czech Republic 2-1. Ronaldo and Pepe played in the starting team of Portugal without being subbed off.
