World number one Iga Świątek has reached the quarter-finals of the WTA-1000 tournament in Madrid.
The 22-year-old Polish tennis player defeated Sara Sorribes-Tormo from Spain with the score 6:1, 6:0. The match lasted 1 hour and 6 minutes.
The next opponent of Świątek will be Brazilian Beatriz Haddad-Maia.
The prize fund of the tournament in Madrid is 7.8 million euros.
