Kaiserslautern have advanced to the final of the DFB-Pokal (German Cup).
The semifinal opponents of this German second-tier club were the third-tier team Saarbrucken, which lost 0-2.
Kaiserslautern's opponents in the final will be the winner of Wednesday’s clash between Bayer Leverkusen and Fortuna Dusseldorf.
For the first time in history, the German top-tier Bundesliga is represented solely by one club, Leverkusen, in the semifinals of the DFB-Pokal.
