In the Round of 32, the Muscovite Armenian tennis star faced world No. 21 Francisco Cerundolo (Argentina) and won in three sets: 6:1, 5:7, 7:6 (7:5). The match lasted 2 hours and 48 minutes.
Khachanov's opponent in the Round of 16 will be world No. 5 Alexander Zverev (Germany).
The prize fund of the Miami Open is $8.9 million.
