Australian Open: World No. 1 Djokovic is out

World No. 1 Novak Djokovic will not be able to defend his Australian Open title.

In the semifinals of this tournament which is coming to an end in Melbourne, the Serbian tennis star faced world No. 4 Jannik Sinner (Italy), who won in four sets—6:1, 6:2, 6:7 (6:8), 6:3. The match lasted 3 hours and 26 minutes.

Sinner's opponent in the final will be the winner of the semifinal clash between world No. 3 Daniil Medvedev (Russia) and world No. 6 Alexander Zverev (Germany).

Sinner has become the first Italian tennis player to reach the final of this tournament in Men's Singles.

The prize fund of the Australian Open is $58 million.
