Iga Swiatek (Poland) has booked the second spot to the WTA Finals being held in Cancun, Mexico.
The world No. 2 defeated world No.1 Aryna Sabalenka (Belarus) in two sets—6:3, 6:2—in the semifinals of this tennis tournament.
Swiatek will vie for the WTA Finals’ title against world No. 5 Jessica Pegula (USA), who defeated world No. 3 and fellow American Coco Gauff in their semifinal clash.
The prize fund of the WTA Finals is $9 million.
