The athletes in the Men's +109kg category competed Sunday at the IWF World Weightlifting Championships 2023 held in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.
In the end, world silver-medalist and two-time European runner-up Varazdat Lalayan (Armenia) won the silver medal for the second time with the combined result of 460 kg (212+248), and Gor Minasyan, the Armenian weightlifter representing Bahrain, became the bronze medalist by lifting a combined weight of 459 kg (213+246).
And two-time Olympic and six-time world champion Lasha Talakhadze (Georgia) won the world weightlifting title for the seventh time, with the combined result of 473 kg (220+253).
