Germany and Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has signed a two-year contract with Barcelona, reports Mundo Deportivo.
The 32-year-old footballer underwent a medical examination for Barca in Munich, and met with the sporting director of this club, Mateu Alemany.
According to the contract, if Gundogan plays 60 percent of the matches of Barcelona in the second season, his contract with the club will be extended for another year.
But an official announcement about this transfer deal has not been made yet, as Gundogan wants to bid farewell to the Man City fans at the club stadium.
Gundogan's current contract with Manchester City runs until June 30, and he will join Barca at no cost.
Transfermarkt estimates his transfer value at €20 million.
Ilkay Gundogan had moved from Borussia Dortmund to Man City in 2016 for €30 million.
