World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz (Spain) and world No. 16 Karen Khachanov (Russia) have reached the quarterfinals of the Miami Open tennis tournament.
In the Round of 16, Alcaraz defeated world No. 19 Tommy Paul (USA) in two sets - 6:4. 6:4 Alcaraz's opponent in the quarterfinals will be world No. 10 Taylor Fritz (USA).
Muscovite Armenian Khachanov beat world No. 3 Stefanos Tsitsipas (Greece) 7:6 (7:4), 6:4 in their Round of 16 clash. Khachanov's opponent in the quarterfinals will be world No. 31 Francisco Cerundolo (Argentina).
The prize fund of the Miami Open is $8.8 million.
