Germany's Union Berlin beat Ajax Amsterdam 3-1 at home to advance to the 1/8 finals.

Italy's Roma scored two unanswered goals against Austria's Salzburg to advance to the 1/8 finals. In the first game, the Roman team lost 0-1.
