Barcelona fail to beat Espanyol (VIDEO)

In the 15th round of Copa del Rey, runner-up Barcelona hosted Espanyol. The team, led by Xavi, drew 1-1.

As early as on 7 minutes Barcelona's Spanish defender Marcos Alonso opened the scoring, assisted by Danish defender Andreas Christensen.

In the 73rd minute the visitors were awarded a penalty kick. It was effectively converted by Spanish forward Joselu.

Barcelona are in first place with 38 points. The champion Real Madrid are in second place with the same number of points. Espanyol are in 16th place with 13 points.
