The USA, which played against Iran and won 1-0 in the third—and last—round of the group stage, booked the second spot to the playoffs from Group B at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
The USA amassed 5 points, took the second place in Group B, and will face the winners of Group A, the Netherlands, in the Round of 16.
Iran finished third, with 3 points, in Group B, and ended their World Cup campaign.
And Wales placed last, with just 1 point, and are also out of the rest of this competition.
