Portugal have booked their spot in the Round of 16 at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
In the second round of the group stage, they beat Uruguay 2-0 thanks to the goals by Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes, 28.
Portugal are the current leaders in Group H, with 6 points, whereas Uruguay are last, with just 1 point.
In the third—and last—round on Friday, Uruguay, which still maintain the chance of advancing to the playoffs, will face Ghana.
Before Portugal, France and Brazil also had qualified for the Round of 16 at the 2022 World Cup.
