Armenian soccer champion Yerevan Pyunik hosted Moldovan Sheriff from Tiraspol at the Republican stadium named after Vazgen Sargsyan in the first match of the playoff qualification of the Europa League.
Before the match, the Republican stadium had a power outage and the match started a few minutes later than planned.
Before the match, a minute of silence was held in memory of those killed in the fire and explosion at Yerevan's Surmalu mall.
The teams could not score. There was a 0-0 draw. The Yerevan side had one shot on goal, while the visitors had no shots on goal.
The return match will be held in Tiraspol next Thursday.
