Leader of the Georgian Dream opposition bloc, premier-designate Bidzina Ivanishvili said his country must participate in the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games.
“Georgia must participate in the Olympics and, as a neighbor, must do everything so that the Olympic Games would pass peacefully, without any incidents,” Novosti Gruziya quotes Ivanishvili.
After the 2008 war there were a lot of speculations about Georgia’s possible actions, even boycotting of the Olympics was discussed.
