The short program of the figure skating ice dance competition kicked off Saturday, the eighth day of the 24th Winter Olympics being held in the Chinese capital, Beijing.
And the Tina Garabedian & Simon Proulx Senecal pair representing Armenia performed their short program flawlessly, and the judges gave them 65.87 points.
The final results, however, will become clear after the performances of all the pairs.
Twenty of the 23 pairs will be able to compete in the free program.
Armenia is participating in the Winter Olympics figure skating competition for the first time after 16 years.
