Genoa hosted Salernitana in the second round of Coppa Italia and won 1-0.
Thus, Genoa achieved their first victory under their new Ukrainian manager Andriy Shevchenko, and reached the Round of 16 of Coppa Italia where they will face Milan on January 12.
Shevchenko was appointed head coach of Genoa on November 7.
