The Japanese women’s team scored the title of Olympic softball champion two times in a row. The final of the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing was repeated in Tokyo after Japan defeated the US 2-0.
The bronze medals were scored by the Canadians, who defeated the Mexicans 3-2.
Softball is a type of baseball, and the tournament is only held for women’s teams at the Olympic Games.
