One cause. One commitment.
As individuals, we choose our own way to support the cause. As a group of drivers and a wider F1 family, we are united in its goal.#WeRaceAsOne pic.twitter.com/qjxYi1zWcJ
Formula 1 drivers have united with 'End Racism' t-shirts ahead of the Austrian Grand Prix, the official website of the competition reported.
"The Formula 1 season finally got underway today when the lights went out to start the Austrian Grand Prix – some four months after the season was originally due to begin in Melbourne.
Since the Australian Grand Prix was cancelled because of the coronavirus pandemic, the Black Lives Matter movement has become a key issue around the world as people everywhere began to protest against racism and inequality," they said in a statement.
