Michel Platini back to football

Former UEFA president Michel Platini has been appointed an adviser to FIFPro (International Federation of Professional Footballers) president Phillipe Piat.

Platini was heading UEFA from 2007 to 2015, but was suspended by the ethic committee. In 2015 he had to leave his position after a corruption scandal involving him and FIFA ex-president Sepp Blatter. Platini’s ban expired in October 2019.

Former France international player won the Ballon d’Or three times. He also managed France from 1988 to 1992.
