Chelsea offered 50 million euros to sign Lyon striker Moussa Dembele this month, but the offer was rejected.
Chelsea believe Olivier Giroud could be part of a deal to bring Dembele to the club, The Sun reported.
Dembele scored ten goals in 18 appearances this season.
